It’s Uni break! Are you heading out and about to celebrate? While you're enjoying your time off, it's important to stay vigilant and look out for yourself and your friends. Drink spiking cases are on the rise, so keep an eye on your drink and be aware of the signs.
Signs of drink spiking
- Loss of balance
- Nausea or vomiting
- Confusion
- Visual problems
- In severe cases, unconsciousness
What to do if you think your drink has been spiked
- Ask for help: Seek assistance from venue staff or a trusted friend to get you to a safe place.
- Seek medical attention: Call 000 if you’re concerned. Hospitals can run toxicology screening if you think your drink has been spiked. Police can help too.
