Chair
Ella Young
Degree: Bachelor of Science
"Hello! My name is Ella Young, and I am a 4th year student with a Bachelor in Science (Cell and Molecular Biology), currently completing my Honours in Public Health. For a large portion of my University journey, I have been very involved with UOW as a student representative. I work as a Peer Learning Coach, am the Women’s Representative on SAC, have led our initiative known as ‘Project Period’, been Co-Chair of the Students@UOW Steering Committee, and have taken part in multiple forums. I am very passionate about representing my student body selflessly, ensuring I can be their voice in moments of change, adversity and confusion. I am absolutely honoured to be appointed as Chair of SAC for 2025, as I am not only flattered by the trust my peers have in me, but am also committed to cementing this philosophy of mine. I look forward to working with like-minded staff and further representing the wonderful students of UOW."
